Ged O’Sullivan has 30 years’ experience in the mortgage and protection market. Having worked first with Abbey life then moved to Legal and General. Ged joined AFP in 2000. There are very few mortgage situations Ged has not seen before, from first time buyers to buy to let portfolio landlords. He now deals in getting mortgages and protection for some of the children of his original clients.

Working with AFP North London he has the advantage of being able to offer independent advice from the whole of market and he has the same enthusiasm and energy as he had 30 years ago. Many of our clients have become lifelong family friends.
12 REASONS TO DEAL WITH A MORTGAGE ADVISER
An adviser will deal with you in the way that you prefer, at your convenience, including by home visit if you prefer
A good adviser will have access to a vast range of products from a variety of lenders enabling them to pinpoint the best deal for your particular situation using sophisticated software tools
Every lender has slightly different lending criteria and an adviser will know these inside out, reducing the risk of rejection. Too many rejections will count against you for future applications.
Arranging a mortgage is a very time consuming business, an adviser will process the application for you, saving time and freeing you to get on with your life
An adviser can negotiate with potential lenders on your behalf where necessary
An adviser will look at your whole situation so ensuring the most appropriate product for your needs, present and future, is recommended
An adviser will progress applications on your behalf, answering any queries that may arise
An adviser will liaise with, and progress matters with all involved with a house purchase. This includes Estate Agents, Lenders, Surveyors, Solicitors and other interested parties.
An adviser will always act in your interests, not those of the bank.
An adviser will build a long term professional relationship with you and will be around in the future to answer any questions and deal with any future needs
An adviser will be in touch when any initial deal period expires to advise you again and ensure you don’t get trapped on the lender’s standard rate.
An adviser will generally be able to save pounds on ancillary insurance products and ensure that you have the right products for your needs.

July 2017 – 5 out of 5 stars

Ged was extremely helpful throughout the process. Due to it being our first mortgage, we were unsure of all the necessary steps. Ged and his team guided us perfectly though all of this making it an extremely easy experience.

Ged was able to quickly identify a lender who ultimately saved me a lot of money on a monthly basis. Also gave good advice regarding life insurance.

“I do not think there is anything Ged could have done better. He went above and beyond to ensure my purchase went through as smoothly as possible. He was available by telephone out of hours, which was invaluable to me as I work full time in the daytime. Since this purchase, I have been in touch with Ged in relation to re-mortgaging my own home and he has offered constructive advice, which will save me further money on a monthly basis.”
